Why You Should be Marketing With Calendars

What is a Content Marketing Strategy?

A content marketing strategy uses the idea of getting people to look at the content in question and constantly be reminded of your business, more or less. For example, some companies produce t-shirts, mugs, even comics, so that the people who consume them will be advertising your business for the price of the content. With calendars, you are ensuring that for a very cheap price people will be reminded of your business every day. More so, if the calendar is used to track events and plans for the future.

When in doubt remember that you can create multiple small batches of calendars and use those as samples, to see if they are in demand. As a final tip, it might seem counter intuitive, but if you have a selection of good quality calendars you might consider selling them for a small amount. This is because people value things they pay for more than if they were free. Even if you only give out half as many calendars this way it should have more of an impact.

Why Calendars?

Custom calendars for your business will very rapidly pay for themselves with the increased advertising to its users. Of course, this means that you must necessarily have a good calendar that will be used regularly. If you have the calendar themed towards what your business does it will achieve the greatest effect and you'll be able to have more subtle references to your business. However, if you don't believe that your business is calendar material, you could also use more generic designs. Such as, advice of the month, or forest images. Think about what you and people you know would want in a calendar. If you can try to have a sustainable theme for your calendars. That is, an series that gets updated each year. This way you can get people wanting to collect the next set. For example, a car company issuing a cars of the year calendar, with updates every new year.

Naturally, you will need a way to handle printing calendar. You may find it difficult to print off a calendar on yourself, or even knowing where to begin. There are several businesses out there that can handle this task for you however. In fact, considering all of the issues, quality of ink and paper, binding, and delivery it would certainly be in your best interests to have an outside company handle the printing for you. You would send the finished idea for a calendar over to them, and they would print off a proof or a small sample to see if the finished product is good. Afterwards, you would then either make corrections or complete the order. They will be mailed out upon completion.
